EPA is considered a Strategic Defense Company (EED) by the Ministry of Defense due to the relevance of the C97 (Brasília) and C99 / E99 / R99 (ERJ-145) aircraft simulators to the Armed Forces Defense activities.
This accreditation, in addition to being eligible for adherence to tax benefit programs, such as RETID, reinforces the autonomy of the national Defense industry. The approval process was formalized on 04/26/2016 by the Joint Defense Industry Commission (CMID).
Currently, only 67 companies are registered in this Ministry of Defense program. The CMID meeting was attended by representatives of the Armed Forces (Navy, Army and Air Force), industry federations, Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Industry and Commerce, Planning and public banks.
